Deny Funding & Demand Accountability

• • Oppose the “Golden Dome” strategic missile defense funding in defense authorization and appropriations bills. 
  • Support efforts to categorically block development, testing and deployment of space-based interceptors.
  • Call for cost and feasibility reviews and independent scientific reviews before any development of these systems.
  • Organize oversight hearings on the strategic consequences of the Golden Dome proposal and investigations into past missile defense programmatic failures.

Uphold Policy Restraint & Advance Nuclear Disarmament Diplomacy

• • Remind your representatives that attempts to block potential Russian or Chinese missile attacks by building strategic missile defenses is infeasible and attempts to do so will provoke moves by Moscow and Beijing that would make the United States less safe.
  • Urge them to publicly affirm that homeland missile defense should remain oriented to thwarting limited missile threats (e.g., North Korea).
  • Call on the White House to uphold its declaration of intention to engage in nuclear arms control talks with Russia and China
  • Co-sponsor the pro-diplomacy resolutions HRes100/SRes61 and HRes317/SRes323.
